Rules

Purpose of the Game

Be the first player to reach the opposite side of the board.

Game Setup

Each player starts with 10 walls. Each piece begins in the centre square of its own starting baseline.

Taking a Turn

Players take turns choosing one of two actions: move their piece or place a wall. Once a player has used all 10 walls, they must move their piece on each turn.

Moving a Piece

Pieces move one square at a time, either horizontally or vertically. They can move forwards, backwards, left or right. Pieces cannot move through walls and must go around them.

Placing Walls

Walls are placed between two pairs of squares. A wall can be used to help your own route or block your opponent's progress. However, both players must always have at least one possible route to their goal line.

Face to Face

If two pieces are on neighbouring squares with no wall between them, the player whose turn it is may jump over the opponent's piece to the next square. If there is a wall directly behind the opponent's piece, the player may move diagonally to the left or right of that piece instead.
